The Story

A Life in the Wild

Nitin Vyas has spent over a decade pursuing wildlife through a lens in East Africa's most extraordinary ecosystems. What began as a passion became a craft, and the craft became a calling: guiding guests into the moments that most people only see in magazines.

His photographs have been recognised by some of the world's leading wildlife and travel publications — a testament to the quality of work that comes from years spent understanding light, animal behaviour, and the African bush.

His approach is built on patience, preparation, and intimate knowledge of animal behaviour. Nitin doesn't position the vehicle where the animal is — he positions it where the animal is going, where the light will be, and where the composition will work. The results speak through the images his guests bring home.

fototrails 365 was founded on a single belief: that a photography safari should be structured entirely around photographic outcomes, not generic sightseeing schedules. Small groups. Golden-hour departures. Vehicle positioning for composition, not just proximity. And the patience to wait for extraordinary rather than settle for good.

Philosophy

What Makes a fototrails 365 Safari Different

Photography-first positioning

The vehicle is positioned for the composition, not just to get close. Light angle, background, and subject movement are all factored into every decision.

Small groups, always

A maximum of 12 guests per tour. More room in the vehicles, quieter approach, and Nitin's full attention on your goals.

Patience over kilometres

Some guides measure a day's success in how many species they found. Nitin measures it in whether you got the shot. Some of the best images come from sitting with a single subject for two hours.

Bespoke, always

No two tours are the same. Your dates, your goals, your experience level — the itinerary is built around you from the first conversation.

Ethical wildlife photography

No baiting. No harassing. No off-road driving that damages habitat. The animals' wellbeing comes before any image.

All levels, always

Whether you're holding a phone or a professional DSLR, picking up a camera for the first time or refining a decade of technique — every guest gets Nitin's full attention.

Conservation

Photography with a Conscience

Every fototrails 365 tour operates under strict ethical wildlife guidelines. A portion of every tour fee is directed to local conservation organisations and community trusts in the Masai Mara, Serengeti, Amboseli, and Uganda's national parks. We believe that the privilege of photographing wild Africa comes with a responsibility to protect it.
