There are no fixed departure dates or pre-set groups. You tell us when you want to go, what you want to photograph, and how many people are in your party. Nitin designs the itinerary around your goals, books accommodation, and manages all logistics. Every tour is built from scratch for each guest.

What is the typical price range?

How small are the groups?

A maximum of 6 guests per vehicle. Most tours run with 2–4 guests. Smaller groups mean more room in the vehicle, quieter approaches to wildlife, and Nitin's full attention on your photographic goals.

Do I need to be an experienced photographer?

Not at all. We welcome complete beginners, smartphone photographers, and anyone who simply wants to experience African wildlife up close. Nitin adapts every outing to each guest's interests and comfort level — no photography experience required.

Can I join even if I'm not a photographer?

Absolutely. Many of our guests come for the wildlife experience first and photography second. You'll be in the heart of Africa's most spectacular landscapes with expert guidance — camera optional.

What is included in the tour price?

Typically included: all accommodation, all meals from arrival dinner to departure breakfast, all game drives with Nitin as lead guide, a private 4WD vehicle, all park and conservation fees, and in-field coaching. International flights, visas, travel insurance, and personal camera equipment are not included.

What accommodation can I expect?

We work with a curated selection of tented camps and lodges ranging from well-appointed mid-range properties (3-star) to exclusive luxury lodges (5-star), all with en-suite facilities and breakfast included. Your accommodation tier is discussed and confirmed during the planning process based on your preferences and budget. Some camps are in remote wilderness with no fences — wildlife walks through camp, which is part of the experience.

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes — travel insurance is mandatory. East Africa is remote and medical evacuation can be extremely costly. A policy covering medical evacuation, trip cancellation, and equipment loss is strongly recommended.

What visa do I need?

For Kenya: an e-Visa is available online at evisa.go.ke (approximately $50 per person). For Tanzania: a visa is available on arrival or online (approximately $50 per person). Requirements vary by nationality — check your government's travel advice well in advance.

What vaccinations are required?

Yellow fever vaccination is required for entry to Kenya and Tanzania if arriving from certain countries. Malaria prophylaxis is strongly recommended. Consult a travel health clinic at least 6 weeks before departure.

What camera gear should I bring?

Any camera works — including your smartphone. Nitin helps every guest regardless of gear. For those with interchangeable-lens cameras, here are his recommendations: The most useful single lens is a 100–400mm or 150–600mm telephoto zoom. A 70–200mm f/2.8 is useful for low-light situations. A wide angle is good for landscapes. A second camera body is useful but not essential. A beanbag for vehicle window mounting is essential — beanbags are provided in the vehicle.

How do I charge my camera equipment?

All camps and lodges have power outlets in the rooms for charging. Bring sufficient batteries (at least 2 batteries) and a spare charger. Power adapters for East Africa (Type G plugs) are recommended.

How fit do I need to be?

All game drives are conducted from a vehicle — no hiking is required. You should be comfortable sitting for 4–6 hours at a time in a 4WD vehicle on bumpy terrain. Most people of average fitness have no difficulty.

Can I do a solo tour?

Yes. Solo travellers are very welcome. A single supplement may apply for accommodation. Nitin has hosted many solo photographers and the private, tailored nature of a solo tour is particularly effective for focused photography.

What if we don't see the specific wildlife I want?

Wildlife is wild and inherently unpredictable. Nitin does everything possible to maximise your chances using years of experience and local tracker networks. However, no guide can guarantee specific sightings, crossings, or weather. This is the nature of wildlife photography.

What is Nitin's approach to ethical wildlife photography?

No baiting, no feeding, no vehicle crowding, no harassment of animals. If an animal shows signs of stress, we move away regardless of the photographic opportunity. The welfare of the wildlife always comes before any image.
